Along the same area you will find the stunning Sheffield Island Lighthouse, located on 132 Water Street. This is a spectacular structure for your viewing pleasure that is quite popular with the many tourists to visit the Norwalk area as well. You will be delighted to hear all about this beautiful lighthouse that actually got its start way back in 1868. Ever since 1902 when it retired it has been well-kept by a long list of volunteers. You can take part in one of the tours of the lighthouse itself and there is even a marvelous nature trail nearby that is just right for exploring.
