Buckingham Fountain (Chicago IL)

There were two sets of emotions floating in and out my head as I watched this beautiful fountain during one of my many rental charter bus trips to Chicago IL – romance and peace. It’s one of the biggest fountains in the world and it’s right here in the heart of Chicago and remains to be one of the most popular spots for local lovers and tourists by rental charter bus. I guess it’s hard to blame them as those graceful dancing horses are absolutely heart warming. In my personal opinion, it’s not just a place for locals to relax and unwind; it’s also a public piece of art. Kate Buckingham, accordingly, envisioned the special effects she calls ‘soft moonlight’ – and boy, did she hit the nail on the head. It’s simply magnificent.

I’ve never seen the fountains near the Versailles Palace in France but according to some of them, the fountain at this Chicago IL rental charter bus tourist attraction is somewhat an offspin of it. In 1927, Kate Buckingham came up with the fountain in honor of her brother. How sweet. At one point in time, this beautiful Chicago IL rental charter bus attraction was in disrepair because of lack of maintenance. But after a major overhaul, it’s now beautifully illuminated again at night and crowded especially during summer months. Thanks to Kate Buckingham’s commitment to the project during the early stages whereby she stayed up late all night with the builders to ensure that the mystical aura she wanted was there, Chicago IL’s got itself a real gem.

Because of the numinous feel, I was almost always looking around to see if anyone was going to propose to their future wives! I heard it happens a lot here but sadly so, I didn’t see any.  If you have yourself a Chicago IL rental charter bus holiday trip here, you’ll just have to come see this fountain for yourself.
