Museum Of Discovery And Science (Fort Lauderdale)

If you think this is the kind of tourist attractions designed for kids under three feet tall, you couldn't be more wrong. I am all of five foot seven and it was a thrilling experience for me. When you Google the place up, you will see that it is filled with nothing but world-class hands-on, interactive stuff that the kids will no doubt love! It is a lot like unleashing a bunch of school kids into Disneyland or ToysRUs – I am talking about us, of course when we organized our group trip to Fort Lauderdale with a local charter bus rental company.

What surprised me was that there were animals too and not only science and space stuff. There were bats, fishes, snakes, alligators and many other reptiles and small animals. And is that all? Of course not. There is also the world's largest captive Atlantic coral reef which totally struck me dumb. It was so awesome and beautiful that there are no words in the English vocabulary that could help me put it into words to help you see how amazing it was.

We could see the kids forming long beelines for the IMAX 3D theater too. Squealing kids, impatient parents, patient attendants...they were all there and we joined them for our very own IMAX moment in Fort Lauderdale. Once there, we knew we were going to be in there for a long time so, I felt really thankful that after all that excitement, we would have the vehicle that we have rented weeks earlier from a Fort Lauderdale charter bus rental company waiting outside for us. Who could think straight after a visit like that, huh?

For the kids, they loved picking plastic oranges from a fake tree and although some of us wanted to join in with the kids, we felt that we would have unfair advantage because of our height so we passed. What we didn't pass on was the Everglades with the aquarium and the Space Station. What we thought was awesome too was the elevator – hey, it's not your average elevator that we are talking about. It is made of transparent material so that you could see right through it.

For the IMAX, we went swimming with all the aqua animals in the Deep Sea show – we are talking about a screen that is more or less five storey high, folks, and it was AMAZING. It beats out the Mars motion ride, virtual volleyball and also all the other aviation simulators.

My verdict is – with or without kids, you should give your favorite Fort Lauderdale charter bus rental company a call right now and get your kids ready for an awesome time.
